CONVEYANCING LAWYER

We are a friendly, expanding and highly regarded law firm based in Enfield looking for an experienced solicitor or Legal Executive to join our successful firm. Primarily a residential property specialist you will have the ability to manage your own caseload and all aspects of sales and purchases, with the benefit of experienced and highly administrative support.

Duties include:

  • Undertaking and managing a caseload of sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, shared ownership, help to buy, and right to buy transactions, as well as remortgages and transfers of equity.
  • Creating and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and third parties at all levels.
  • Having a thorough and detailed approach to work.
  • Undertaking and managing a caseload of sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, new builds, shared ownership, help to buy, and right to buy transactions, as well as remortgages, lease extensions and transfers of equity and all ancillary matters including but not limited to the preparation of leasehold management packs and the drafting and negotiation of deed of covenant and licences.
  • Ensuring that the firm’s compliance procedures are followed including carrying out AML checks, verifying the identity of all clients and understanding client's source of funds and wealth.
  • Working with the other departments in the firm to support colleagues on matters that have residential property elements.
  • Creating and maintaining lasting relationships with clients and third parties at all levels.
  • Assisting with the firm’s business development plans, fostering and cultivating new business relationships which may include attending social and networking events.
  • Awareness of other services provided by the firm and the opportunities to cross-sell those services whenever it is appropriate to do so (e.g. advising clients of the benefits of making a will, particularly when purchasing property).
  • Having a thorough and detailed approach to work, utilising the firm’s case management system to store transactional correspondence and transactional documentation and recording of time spent on matters.
  • Ensuring, together with managers and partners, continuing professional development, including keeping abreast of developments in the law relating to residential property and completing the training required to maintain our accreditation within the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.

In addition to having a strong team, we provide up-to-date technologies for document management, case handling and research and you will have the benefit of your own office and parking space.

CORPORATE AND COMMERCIAL LAWYER

A vacancy has arisen for a solicitor to join our successful Corporate and Commercial department, including Commercial Property and supported by the Employment and Dispute Resolution teams.
We would be pleased to consider applications from candidates with at least 3 years' PQE working with a quality caseload in an established legal practice. This is an exciting role with opportunities for rapid progression with the firm for the right candidate
You will be an enthusiastic transactional lawyer, with experience in all aspects of a busy corporate and commercial practice, including:

  • Share acquisitions/disposals, business and asset sales/purchases
  • Shareholders’ agreements
  • Companies law, partnerships/LLP’s
  • General commercial contracts and advice
  • Corporate reorganisations
  • Joint ventures and partnering
  • Banking, finance and loan agreements
  • Insolvency and restructuring

Ideally, we would be looking for someone who has experience and a willingness to be involved in some charities and non-contentious commercial property work.

You will be able to work alone and as part of a team, confident in dealing with a client base comprising well established SME's, owner managed businesses, lending institutions, property investors and developers, housing associations, as well as high net worth private clients.
In addition to your case responsibilities, you would be willing to help provide support alongside the partners in developing the skills of our junior lawyers and to develop the firm’s corporate and commercial client base. Prior experience in business development would be an advantage and an aptitude for marketing will come naturally to you.

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY LAWYER

We are expanding our successful Commercial department, including Commercial Property and Corporate and Commercial, supported by the Employment and Dispute Resolution teams. The firm deals with a wide range of high-quality commercial work.

We would be pleased to consider applications from newly qualified and experienced candidates who are used to working with a quality caseload in an established legal practice.

You will be an enthusiastic transactional lawyer, with experience in all aspects of a busy corporate and commercial practice in England and Wales, including:

  • Commercial acquisitions and disposals
  • Development
  • Landlord and tenant
  • Asset management
  • Banking, finance and loan agreements
  • Business and asset sales/purchases
  • Insolvency and restructuring

We are looking for someone who has experience and a willingness to be involved in corporate support and general commercial work, able to work alone and as part of a team, confident in dealing with a mixed client base comprising well established SME's, owner managed businesses, lending institutions, property investors and developers, housing associations, as well as high net worth private clients.

In addition to your case responsibilities, you would be willing to help provide support alongside the partners in developing the skills of our junior lawyers and to develop the firm’s corporate and commercial client base.
