Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2004, Jenny has worked in civil and commercial litigation and has increasingly specialised in the areas of contentious landlord and tenant and probate disputes, which now make up the majority of Jenny's practice. Jenny also deals with debt recovery, contract disputes and disputes involving property generally.

She has experience of dealing with the County Courts, the Residential Property Tribunal and the Court of Protection. 

Qualifications and experience

  •  BA (Hons) English Language & Literature from the University of Manchester
  • Common Professional Examination and PG Diploma in Law, Anglia Ruskin University


Jenny began her legal career as a paralegal and then a trainee with a firm in Essex, and joined Vanderpump & Sykes on qualifying as a solicitor in 2004. Jenny now has more than 14 years experience across a range of dispute resolution including the following:-

Civil litigation including contract disputes and debt recovery

Property litigation including residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, dilapidations claims, possession (including Interim Possession Orders against trespassers), forfeiture and relief from forfeiture, recovery of ground rent and service charges, complex freeholder/leaseholder disputes and applications before the Residential Property Tribunal, breach of covenants and easements/rights of way disputes, bringing and resisting claims for beneficial interests in property.


Contentious Probate: Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, disputes surrounding the validity of wills, actions against executors, claims against estates arising from trusts/proprietary estoppel.
